“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:” Ecclesiastes 3:1
God’s word promises that even though we experience various seasons in our lives, He will always be there for us. All of us will experience unpleasant seasons at some point in our lives. It is in those seasons we need to press closer to God and allow for His word to speak to our hearts. During those trying periods, the Holy Spirit is there to console and lead us. We learn how to be obedient from His word, which helps us to not make irrational decisions that will affect our future seasons. It’s ok to cry in those difficult seasons, as His word states, “Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). Even in the mist of those stormy seasons, we are still able to experience true joy and relief. Those seemingly never-ending seasons are only temporary because our Lord will vindicate us. Our focus must be on the things above because every season in our lives will come and go, but God will always be the same yesterday, today, and forever!
When we encounter those difficult seasons; we are to remember:
It is important to continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord in those challenging seasons.
In His word, we find the peace we need in those difficult seasons.
Never isolate yourselves; find support in the body of Christ.
Finally, remember that regardless of the season we are in, God’s love for us will never change.
